I saw an absurdist horror movie the other day. It’s was about some alien species (business as usual there) referred to as the Gilzax, trying to take over the world and eradicate mankind by some strange forms of mind alteration involving high potency psychedelic drugs and eerie high pitched music. I know the story don’t sound all that original, film aliens are usually bent on our destruction some way or another. Either that otherwise the aliens seem to have a habit of showing up with their spacecrafts on muddy pictures that could easily be interpreted as clouds or whatever, or they have a strong and actually quite disturbing desire to hang out with little pre-adolescence boys in the woods at night (you’re not fooling anyone E.T, we’re on to you). Oh, where was I, yeah the movie, the thing is I forgot what it’s called. It’s really too bad actually because I wanted to see that flick again. I could perhaps do some research on some on-line forum and find out. Then I could go to the excellent auction site lauritz.com and track down a used copy on DVD for a fair price. That’d be the bomb.
